Product Description

DRONE RIG (light/basic) 80lb Japanese Fujiyama Mono with 7/0 Octopus Hooks on Twisted Loops

A 1-3 hook Rig specifically designed for drone deployment for Snapper and other table fish. Made for easy drone attachment with an attachment loop going to a 3-way dropline swivel. Each hook is spaced 1 m apart on non-tangle twisted loops. We have taken all the guesswork out of this one for you. It’s as easy as attaching your sinker, baiting your hooks, clipping it on, and you’re rigged and ready for Drone fishing. This rig is usable in all Aussie states as the hooks are removable to comply with your state’s laws. You can even remove any hook and add your own preferred hook.

The 7/0 Octopus hooks are razor sharp. They are commercial-grade hooks, extremely tough and durable. These hooks are great for all sizes of Snapper but will also handle other species, including Dhufish, Jewfish, Samson Fish, Flathead and Gummy sharks, no problem.

The top of the rig is indicated with a lumo tube.

If you want to suspend the baits off the bottom to avoid stingrays and Banjo sharks, simply attach a float to the drone attachment loop tag (see photos). This will keep most of the gear off the bottom. A float can be submerged; just remember, you may now need a bigger lead to compensate. As always wind your line in to stretch the rig and avoid tangles, if you added this float you will now need to slacken line a bit to allow float to lift rig off bottom. If you don’t use a float, simply snip the long tag off the drone connection loop. (See Photos and diagrams)

Ideal baits are Herring, Mullet strips,  Pillys, Squid, Fish Fillets

  • 3 x 7/0 circle Octopus Hooks
  • 3-way Crane swivel with drone attach loop
  • 80 lb Sinker Trace knotted to breakaway lead if stuck on bottom to save rig from total loss

All our rigs are True, Tried and Tested.

All rigs are tied, hand/bench crimped and assembled by myself here in Cairns, Australia from quality components. All terminal tackle is commercial grade.
