Product Description

ICOM IC-A25CE Next Generation Air Band Radio

6W VHF Air Band Transceiver | 300 Memory Channels | IP57 | 2.3-inch Display

The ICOM IC-A25CE Air Band Radio is a powerful handheld VHF aviation transceiver designed for clear and reliable ground-to-air communications.

It provides up to 6W PEP transmit power, a large high-visibility display and 300 memory channels. In addition, its rugged IP57 construction makes it well suited to aviation, airfields and demanding outdoor operations.

6W RF Output

The IC-A25CE provides up to 6W PEP / 1.8W carrier output power.

As a result, it delivers strong communication performance from a compact handheld radio.

Large 2.3-Inch Display

A large 2.3-inch high-contrast LCD makes frequencies and settings easy to read.

In addition, Night Mode improves screen visibility in low-light conditions. The large keypad also provides quick access to commonly used functions.

300 Memory Channels

The radio stores up to 300 memory channels across 15 groups.

It also remembers the last 10 channels used through ICOM’s Flip-Flop channel recall feature. Therefore, pilots can quickly move between frequently used frequencies.

Clear, Powerful Audio

The built-in speaker delivers up to 1200mW of audio output.

In addition, the Auto Noise Limiter helps reduce background noise for clearer communications in noisy aviation environments.

Rugged IP57 Construction

ICOM designed the IC-A25CE for use in demanding environments.

Its IP57 rating provides protection against dust and water. Furthermore, the radio meets a range of MIL-STD-810 environmental test standards.

Emergency Frequency Access

A dedicated 121.5MHz emergency key provides quick access to the international aviation emergency frequency.

The radio also supports priority watch and several scanning functions.

8.33kHz and 25kHz Channel Spacing

The IC-A25CE supports both 8.33kHz and 25kHz channel spacing.

Its COM frequency range covers 118.000 to 136.992MHz, making it suitable for standard VHF aviation communications.

Intelligent Battery System

The supplied BP-288 Li-ion battery has a typical capacity of 2350mAh.

The radio can display detailed battery information to help monitor remaining power and battery condition.

Important: IC-A25CE vs IC-A25NE

The IC-A25CE is the COM-only version of the A25 series.

It does not include the GPS, VOR navigation or Bluetooth functions found on the IC-A25NE. Therefore, the IC-A25CE is ideal for users who want a high-quality dedicated aviation communications radio without the additional navigation features.
